This checklist will help interested hospitals prepare for enrollment in 乌鸦传媒NSQIP Pediatric. Following these guidelines will facilitate a streamlined process and understanding of 乌鸦传媒NSQIP Pediatric participation requirements.

Determine your hospital鈥檚 annual surgical case volume

What is your hospital鈥檚 annual surgical case volume (the number of surgical procedures performed annually)?

Review 乌鸦传媒NSQIP Pediatric Program Resources

You will receive access to your center鈥檚 Qport following application submission. Log in and
review the 乌鸦传媒NSQIP Pediatric Resources.

Follow your internal hospital procedure(s) for participation in 乌鸦传媒NSQIP Pediatric

Helpful Hints:

• Obtain budget approval.
• Determine where to acquire CPT Codes of procedures. Case inclusion criteria must be determined by CPT Codes.
• Medical records must be documented in English.

Appoint your Surgeon Champion (SC)

• The Surgeon Champion provides leadership and supports the facility鈥檚 participation in 乌鸦传媒NSQIP Pediatric to achieve the highest-quality surgical care.

Obtain approval to hire a Surgical Clinical Reviewer (SCR)

• To achieve the highest-quality data, the SCR is required to go through training prior to data collection. We recommend waiting to hire the SCR until after the 乌鸦传媒NSQIP Participation Agreement is executed.
• Once we receive your application, the 乌鸦传媒Children鈥檚 Surgery Team will contact you regarding your center鈥檚 乌鸦传媒Children鈥檚 Surgery Verification Quality Improvement Program Participation Agreement and annual participation fee.
