Conduct While Participating in ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½Events, Utilizing ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½Resources, or Representing the ACS

The following policy was approved by the Board of Regents at its October 2025 meeting.

This policy applies to all members of the ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ (ACS) and others that work with ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½programs and committees and serve as representatives of the ACS.

It is the goal of the ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½to provide a welcoming environment to all who participate in its in-person and virtual events, utilize its resources, or represent the ACS.

When participating in ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½events, utilizing its resources, or representing the ACS, members and others are expected and required to engage in appropriate conduct and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. If these expectations are not met, the ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½may remove any participants from an event, remove any posting or other contribution to an ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½resource or take such other actions as it deems appropriate.

During events, do not engage in photography, video recording, and/or screenshots without written permission from ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½and appropriate notification to participants.  The possession or use of any weapon, including firearms, knives or other dangerous items, is prohibited at all meeting venues and during any event-related activities.

The Executive Director or the Chair of the Board of Regents shall be responsible for determining repercussions, provided that other director and supervisor level staff of the ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½may take immediate temporary action under this policy to prevent injury to persons or to property or to preserve the professional environment of an event. Any such action shall be promptly reported to the Executive Director or Chair of the Board of Regents of the ACS.
